The Media Access Coalition of Central California provides countless resources for its members. The links below enable members to work with online resources, as well as reserving offline equipment. Become a member of MACCC, and experience the benefits.
Because of the Communications Act of 1984, local cities may require cable operators to set aside channels for public, educational, or governmental use. MHAT is Morgan Hill’s Public access channel and is available for use by the general public.
MHAT is committed to providing an opportunity for members of Morgan Hill to use cable television to communicate their views. We seek to present a broad range of programming that expresses a diversity of perspectives; to establish a broad base of community understanding of and involvement in public access television; to encourage community support for access productions; and to furnish an electronic conduit for uncensored free expression.
The Media Access Coalition of Central Callifornia (MACCC) is the nonprofit organization that has been awarded the contract by the city to operate MHAT Channel 19, and provide educational opportunities for the public.
Studio 82 is the facility MACCC is located at, and the place we make channel 19 happen. At the studio, we have filming equipment, a green screen, audio microphones, and a cast of volunteers that enjoy having fun with video. It costs nothing to put your videos on air, but if you’d like to become a member of MACCC and utilize the studio and equipment, we invite you to join! The price can’t be beat, it’s only $30 per year for each individual adult, with discounts provided to families, seniors, and juniors.
